How to manage discipline as a Leader

A valid method for tech leaders & high performers

Do you waste energy on things you cannot control?

Politics, opinions, outcomes, luck,
What if’s; I cannot’s; Maybe next month’s ...?

These are either projections of someone else or your inner Ego speaking to you.

Winners focus on two things only:

Actions.
Reactions.

That’s your circle of control.
Everything else is noise; distraction.

It’s your enemy.
Take action. React with intent.

Repeat daily.

Discipline is just consistency inside your circle of control.

Watch this video to learn about a stoic method of the 3 Circles of Control, which helps me stay in charge of my own life.

How to use the 3 Circles of Control in your daily life

You watched the video, you saw the diagram, now let’s turn the idea into a system you can actually use every day. Not as a theory, but as a practical method to reduce noise, avoid burnout and move your life and career forward with intent.

We’ll keep it simple, because simple is what you can repeat.

1. Draw your 3 circles, every time you feel stuck

Take a sheet of paper, draw three nested circles:

  • Inner circle: Control

  • Middle circle: Influence

  • Outer circle: No Control

Now, pick one concrete situation you are dealing with right now; not your whole life, not your five-year vision, just one problem or decision that currently lives rent-free in your head, that might be your health, a difficult stakeholder, your content direction, a release that keeps slipping, money, whatever is most alive for you.

Write that situation as a headline at the top of the page, then we sort.
