As a Pro, I cannot afford to lose focus regularly.
Pro in the sense of Steven Pressfield’s definition in “The War of Art”.
Being means to have purpose.
With that purpose comes responsibility.
Colleagues are relying on me.
Clients have expectations.
My family needs a caring and healthy father after work.
Sailing stormy seas as a tech entrepreneur, it’s easy to lose yourself.
My days are filled with unforeseen events, noise, distractions, and temptations.
Things that constantly try to pull my attention away from what I should focus on.
My signals I set for myself.
When done right, you can see them bright even later in the evening.
And when you were successful in pursuing those, you can brag about it.
If you have nothing to brag about, something must have gone wrong.
Self-reflect, understand, reflect, and adapt.
Next morning, do it again.
Set your signals when you are clear and give your discipline a chance to succeed.
After some time, you will learn who you are and how your mind really works.
This is part of the art of journaling.
It takes just a few minutes of your day, but it can change your entire life.
WRITE IT DOWN
OWN YOUR DAY
Are you a Pro?
What is your purpose?
A question everyone should ask themselves and answer in silence.
You are the only one who can genuinely answer that question.
